Art Educator & Acrylic Artist
Welcome!
& Art Educator
I am Jackie Sanchez, a passionate art educator and proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. My teaching philosophy focuses on promoting visual arts that celebrate cultural diversity while prioritizing student-centered education. I am also an architect with twelve years of experience focused on residential designs. My architectural background has given me a deep understanding of the integration between art and design. I recognize the power of visual communication and how art and architecture can influence each other, allowing me to bring real-world applications into the classroom and create meaningful learning experiences for my students.
I am committed to nurturing the artistic talents of my students, fostering cultural understanding, and inspiring them to think critically and creatively. I aim to encourage students to challenge themselves using various media and technical skills. Set high expectations within a positive learning environment to promote respect and empathy for all students.
As an artist, I have embarked on an artistic journey over the past decade, using painting to self-express. It has become a passion that captivates me in the creative world. My preferred mediums are mixed media and acrylic paints, which allow me to explore various techniques and textures.
In my artwork, I strive to convey positive emotions and capture the essence of happiness and self-love. I create whimsical and liberating concepts that celebrate the natural world's beauty and humanity's interconnection. Through vibrant colors and contrasting tones, I aim to evoke a sense of vitality and bring my paintings to life.
I also seek to convey the triumph and self-appreciation over the complex moments in life. I draw inspiration from my experiences, travels, and diverse cultures, infusing my work with freedom, passion, and honesty to ensure that every piece bears my unique touch of inspiration. Through my paintings, I hope to inspire viewers to connect with their emotions, embrace life's beauty, and find solace in art's transformative power.
